2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs 2022 Ford F-150 near Pittsburgh, PA

Both the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2022 Ford F-150 near Pittsburgh, PA, have garnered a lot of praise. However, there is a clear distinction in terms of capability when examining both full-size pickup trucks. Allow us at Jim Shorkey North Hills Chevrolet to explain further, and we are located in North Hills.

Performance

We must concede that the Ford’s most powerful engine provides more force than the leading powertrain of the Silverado 1500. One option is the available 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 with 325 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The most heart-pounding one is its 3.5L twin-turbocharged HO EcoBoost® V6 system that provides 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. The Silverado has a 6.2L V8 powertrain that comes with 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s also its 2.7L Turbo High-Output 4-cylinder alternative that delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. But, the Chevy comes with an available heavy-duty air filter, but this is the only contender with this feature.

Technologies

The Ford will offer an available 12.0-inch touchscreen1, but the Chevrolet Silverado 1500's 13.4 diagonal infotainment display is over an inch bigger. Likewise, the available 12.3-inch diagonal driver information center is offered with the Chevy, which is helpful when driving down Second Avenue. The Ford’s 12.0-inch display lacks less surface area to match up the former feature. Plus, available Navigation2 comes with the highest trim level of the the Silverado 1500 is provided, but Connected Built-In Navigation3 is optional with the Raptor offered with the F-150. In other words, if you want the Raptor, it requires an extra upgrade to receive this feature.

Interior

The Equinox proves that it is a pickup truck that understands that you need a wide space. But, the Ford’s engineering is lackluster in this regard, with its 40.8 inches of front headroom. The Equinox has 43.03 inches of this area for you. Likewise, it has 44.53 inches of front legroom, but the Ford only has 43.9 inches. The Ford’s Recaro® Unique Leather and Alcantra® Suede trim seats boast some features, except breathability. They don’t have perforated leather ones with the Gideon/Very Dark Atmosphere iterations as the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

Making a choice between the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vs 2022 Ford F-150 near Pittsburgh, PA, is important. Let our team at Jim Shorkey North Hills Chevrolet help you today!
