On February 7th I took my equinox in for software update. I was off and met Don from service department. He was very nice and kept the lines of communication open as I spent just shy of 4 hours there. I am not concerned/upset with time spent down loads only go so fast. I was informed they were downloading 4 modules. Don let me go and informed me it would be a while for paperwork to be completed and he thanked me for being patient. I was to receive paperwork for the service rendered. On Monday I reached out to Kylie sales extraordinaire and asked if she could get my paperwork sent. She assisted with my request but as of today February 14th I have not received my paperwork. The score of 3/5 is my disappointment as I value the staff at Jim Shorkey in Bakerstown. Very pleased with purchase and vehicle. I have been impressed since day one when I met Kylie and Joe, both excellent! Just looking for documentation for service record of vehicle. Thank you to those who took the time to read this.

I got an oil change done and there was no oil in it when I checked it later that day I drive it 115 miles no way it’s out of oil that fast there is in no way your technician put oil in my car

Difficult to deal with. Did not tell me of better finance options, I had to find out myself. When I confronted them they still lied to me about my options. Nickle and dimed me every turn. Had surprise fees when we were closing the deal. New car was dirty when they delivered it, inside and out. The general manager was really rude and confrontational. I will not return to Shorkey Chevrolet again, Will also spread the word about Shorkey.

Was having issues with my car so needed to buy a new vehicle. They listened to and answered all my questions and concerns, and was in a new reliable vehicle quickly.

Excellent service from the service dept. It was easy to make an appointment, I. dropped my car off the day before the appointment and it was actually looked at that same day. I was called by Don and told what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix the problem. He was very thorough and answered all my questions. My car was serviced in a timely manner and the cost for the repair was not bad. When I picked my car up everything that had been done was explained again. I was very pleased from start to end.

Words can’t describe how helpful the service team was at Chevrolet, especially Zachary and Chad! They went the extra mile to make sure we had updates and got our vehicle back super quick!

AT the time we were looking at the truck, I noticed it had a trailer hitch receiver on it. At two different times I asked if the hitch came with it. I was told both times, yes. When I took delivery, I didn’t see a hitch. When I inquired about it, I was told that the receiver came with it, not the hitch.

Had a service notice on my Silverado EV. The service department quickly found the trouble and ordered the necessary part.

I had my car inspected and emissions done, went very smoothly, my service engine soon had been on a few weeks back but went off, so they checked that out also and found that a part needed replaced, they are going to order the part and call me when it is in and they said the part is under warranty so it will be no charge to me! They are the BEST! I will never take my car anywhere else!

My recent experience with Jim Shorkey, Gibsonia, Pa was excellent. My car was serviced promptly, everyone was pleasant and kind. Great service from check-in to check out.

There was severe rust on my Chevy equinox front quarter panels. I dropped my car off on Sunday evening expecting to be without a car for at least a week. I was very surprised when they called me on Wednesday and said it was finished. The paint match was perfect even though my car was a 2014. But the best news was it was much cheaper than the estimate because they did not need to blend the paint to match the rest of the car. It was done quickly and expertly!

This was just routine maintenance, and it went smoothly and quickly.

Honestly, I couldn’t be more disappointed with Jim, Shorkey, right now. I was there from 9:30 to 3:15 a few days ago trying to get an oil change on my fluids checked my brakes checked and my alignment done. I left at 1:30 after you guys told me that you aligned the car and then had to come back at 2 o’clock to actually get my car aligned. I’m not happy with my brakes at all. I’m not happy with my car really and I think the service could’ve been 10 times better with a mechanics Dustin super helpful Zach super helpful thank goodness you guys have some good people dealing with your customers because whatever’s happening in the back is horrendous.

I arrived early and they were so friendly when I arrived. This was my first time for maintenance on my truck. Waited in the customer area lounge and was able to have coffee and feel right at home even with the television. Service was quick and they even advised me of a recall that they fixed at this appointment. Very classy and polite was the service manager.

I arrived on time and the sales technician was ready for me. I stayed there and he came for me when the work was done and had all the paperwork ready. Everything was completed and I was out of there in about1 1/2 hours. I was disappointed that there were no new Malibu's on site. I am not ready to move up to an SUV. I have driven Chevys for many years and was sad when Impalas were discontinued. I am short and am not as comfortable with SUVs

Service was fine, only issue was since i was waiting for the inspection to be completed thewaiting room's complimentary beverages were not available. there were no tea bags to make hot tea, the machine was out of hot chocolate, i don't drink coffee so the they may have been out as well.

Went to get shocks/struts replaced. Service employee & mechanic were great helping diagnose the issue. Plus getting complimentary rides back & forth from home to drop off & pick up vehicle helped a lot. Much appreciated.

I was in the market for a new vehicle since the transmission on my vehicle failed. upon entering the dealership your receptionist greeted me and directed me to Ms. Melinda Domer when I informed her that I was interested in purchasing a new vehicle. I was shown several vehicles road tested two of them and made my selection.

Dropped truck off for service. Had a few minor issues. On the receipt it stated recommended work that needed done, but it stated Customer declined, even though I wasn't asked. Once work was completed, and I went to retrieved my truck, I observed it was left out in the parking lot with windows down and keys inside. I understand parking is an issue at this location, but this seems like complacency that nothing has happened yet, in terms of vehicles being stolen. Also once home I noticed grease marks on both sides of front fenders.

That was one of the easiest purchases of a new vehicle I have ever had. I think by doing all of the negotiating over text and email made it so much less stressful. Having most of the information and paperwork done in advance was definitely a plus too. After meeting my salesman in person was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting to see a tall skinny young gentleman. With his deep voice I was looking for a much larger older man. Everyone I spoke with by either phone, email or in person was very nice and respectful. I can’t say that for the few dealerships I had been to in the last couple of weeks. I had the impression I was bothering them or they felt I was wasting their time. Lanegan thank you for all your help and good luck with all your schooling. I had been searching for a new Chevy EV Blazer. I had tried multiple dealerships with no success. When I walked into Shorkey, the whole atmosphere was different. I was able to get something done within 90 minutes and was extremely happy with it.

We had an appointment to drop off our truck on Wednesday morning, vehicle was not looked at till we decided to sit an wait for information on the repairs on Friday afternoon due to no positive information was given and only one callback. Our warranty only paid for three days of a five day rental. We had to pay for the days the truck just sat on your lot not diagnosed and approved by warranty. If the shop was that busy then we should not have been scheduled so far ahead.

Me and my husband loved spending time with Melinda and Jad. Melinda is a wonderful sales associate. Actually she is even more than just a sales associate! She took the time to explain so much about both of our new cars. She was so patient with us. She has a wonderful personality and I just loved her. She is a great asset to Jim Shorkey company. Jad has a great personality as well. He spent the time with us and was patient with us as well. We received very good service and are pleased with the work done on our vehicle.

Was in for state inspection and oil change, was told everything was good and passed, just to be back here less than a week later because the oil lines are busted and leaking everywhere, but now im forced to pay 600 or more for something that should have been noticed. Also, was told it could have resulted in complete engine failure if i kept driving it in its current condition. So yeah im not happy unless this is taken care of for me

As I was taking the vehicle to the ceramic detail shop the check engine light came on along with a message service transmission. It’s going to be towed back to the dealership on Monday.

Great dealership experience. I made my rounds to competing Chevrolet dealers looking for a 2026 Equinox or Blazer. After watching an informative YouTube video on the Equinox and Blazer, we decided the slightly larger Blazer was best for us. Turns out Shorkey had 3 on the lot. We found the sales experience at Shorkey to be excellent. Lanegan Pratt knew the vehicle of interest (2026 Blazer EV) extremely well. This was our first EV purchase, so his knowledge was much appreciated. I love the Blazer and will recommend Shorkey to others looking for a new EV.

I purchased 2 new vehicles from this dealership in 2021. Over the last 60 days I've had both of these vehicles serviced at this dealership. In both cases, money was stolen from the center console of the vehicles. In this most recent case money and a gift card were stolen from the center console. Items in the center console were thrown all over the place including on the floor of the vehicle. A call to the dealership said they would investigate and get back to us. At this point they haven't gotten back to us and will no longer return our calls. This will be the last time I take either of my vehicles to this dealership or consider doing business with this dealership in any way. Customers should listen to these reviews and poor reviews previously posted by other customers and avoid doing business with this dealership. I thought the first occurrence was an isolated incident and gave the dealership another chance. Sure enough it happened again with no attempt to hide it.

Great Service Dept. and Sales Staff. Took my 2025 Equinox RS in for inspection & oil change and they also installed computer update that added the Virtual Garage Door feature Great to be able to use and retire my old remote. Employees are outstanding. Completely satisfied with the service I received.

It seemed it took forever to get my parts in. It always seemed to be one thing or another. I actually made five trips from my house ( 35 minute drive ) to get two roof straps reattached on my truck. The counter attendant was extremely nice and very apologetic about the whole experience. Having purchased three vehicles from different Shorkey dealerships I will give this a pass because we have never been disappointed before in any faze of any of the dealerships. We did discuss getting a free transmission flush fir my truck for all my trouble, time, and gas. But it never went any further than that. Would have made it a lot more bare able. Oh well you asked. I did go in for an oil change after this incident and everything went smooth and quick. Zach made sure of it. Thanks Chris

I have never had a negative experience with the service department at North Hills Chevrolet. I have had problems with the length of time it takes to get the repair parts. The downtime due to obtaining the repair parts on my brand new Tahoe is indefensible especially when it only took one day for the repair once the parts were received. Talk about putting the cart before the horse. I had more miles in tow than driven.

Only problem was 2 days later I had a dead battery and had to call AAA, it was 5 years old, but I wish they would have tested it when I was at the dealership, I would rather they replace the battery that day. Also AAA noticed my coolant was low and filled that also, again I wish the dealership would have noticed. But in their defense I did just ask for a oil change.

I had an excellent experience working with Lanegan and the team. From start to finish, I felt fully supported and well taken care of. Lanegan was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He made everything easy and stress-free, and I couldn’t be happier with my new Equinox EV. When I dropped off my vehicle, I did not have a ride home. I just planned on walking home but they offered me a ride which was greatly appreciated.

The sales rep was the most down to earth person. No gimmicks, games or hassling. We talked and he asked what I was looking for. He seemed concerned to get what I wanted and nothing more. Again, no games. He was great in getting what I needed.

Lanegan Pratt was excellent to deal with. He made the process easy. Lanegan also had in depth knowledge regarding the vehicle. He did a great job helping me through the process.

This was the second time bringing my truck in for the same issue and it is still not fixed despite the dealership saying that it was fixed. This is a critical life safety issue.

Although I've always been very happy with this service department, this time I waited an hour and twenty minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. And after the tire rotation, I got a dashboard warning that said "Tire Monitoring ". I googled it and reset it myself.

I was waited on as soon as I got there & truck taken to garage. Zack kept me informed & it went fairly quick. Zach even gave me a tire quote as I will be needing tires soon.

It was a very good experience. Only comment is there was a delay in notifying me of the time when the vehicle would be ready for pick-up. (I had to call on status). Other than this (minor), the experience was very good. I appreciate there was no "up-sales" of services that are not required for inspection - an issue I had from last year.
